- We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mario Vargas Llosa, a former Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University. Described as an "exceptional novelist and essayist", he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2010 and was made an Honorary Fellow of Queen Mary in 1988.
