Prof. Carpenter
Troublemaker who tells people things they largely ignore. Probably wise.
- Amazing bit of history. There are many wealthy people in the US who could do this; will any of them?
- It seems that the modern billionaires are as bad as the “Golden Age” tycoons. Though even those sometimes built libraries and museums, our current crop of robber barons seem to have no such inclinations.
- Did Trump and Pam Bondi make a deal with the Sinaloa Cartel? It would seem so, and now 17 cartel family members have been allowed to enter the U.S. apnews.com/article/el-c...

- They always have been
- Also wondering if Trump is contemplating pardoning El Chapo. Would be on brand.
- More crime every day. And instead of *deporting* immigrant criminals, he’s importing them. Why is this not on the front page of every newspaper? Oh, yeah, because they are complicit.
- No, you’re not crazy. They are deporting brown people and importing white people.
- This is the “great replacement” they want.
- it’s wild how the democratic party is not going to change and will continue embracing the tired centrists after a decade of losing power on all levels

- It’s more like *upholding* the Constitution through aggressive opposition to what is happening. Chuck Schumer sending a “strongly worded message” to the MAGA administration is not going to cut it. Standing up in Congress and speaking out loudly in defense of democracy will. It is a time to be bold.
- It's almost as if granting a criminal blanket immunity was a bad idea.
- Is Roberts trying to play “innocent” after letting giving Trump immunity? Maybe he needs to go back and read Justice Sotomayer’s dissent to remind himself of how badly screwed over we are, and how he had a hand in it.

- This is the replacement they want.
- The voting section of the U.S. Department of Justice has only three attorneys left on staff, according to an estimate provided by a group working to support the department’s remaining staff.👀 www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
- The number one goal for Republicans is to destroy voting. MAGA/P2025 are working overtime to destroy voting in America. This should be as important as any other story of the destruction of democracy. Without the ability to democratically elect leaders, everything else is moot.
