- Follow this week's major voting news. It is only Monday and already my team has sued Montana. I expect several additional cases to be filed this week. Never miss an update. Subscribe to Democracy Docket: hubs.ly/Q03jcjqP0
- 🚨BREAKING: On behalf of the Montana Federation of Public Employees, my law firm has filed a new pro-voting lawsuit challenging two new Montana laws that reduce opportunities for Election Day registration and add more burdensome ID requirements. www.democracydocket.com/cases/montan...
- Trump's Department of Justice serves three purposes: Declare that whatever Trump wants to do is legal. Dispense favors on Trump's political allies. Investigate and punish Trump's political opponents. It is a dangerous three tiered system of justice that is leading our country down a dark road.
- The voting section of the U.S. Department of Justice has only three attorneys left on staff, according to an estimate provided by a group working to support the department’s remaining staff.👀 www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
- Odd that those criticizing @gtconway.bsky.social for endorsing Diane Seltzer because he isn't a member of the DC Bar, ignore the fact that I have as well and I am a member. Vote Diane Seltzer for DC Bar president.
- I joined Chris Hayes on Friday to discuss Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s call to lawyers, big law’s mistake in capitulating to Trump and Stephen Miller’s bizarre assertion that the White House can suspend habeas corpus. Here are a few of the highlights along with some additional thoughts.
- I quickly learned that few other lawyers — particularly partners at large law firms — were willing to speak on television. - Since leaving Twitter, I had forgotten Jonathan Turley existed. Apparently he is still obsessed with me. It is amazing people still pay him to teach them law. He is just Mike Lindell with tenure.
- As we begin another week, my law firm is litigating 52 voting and election cases in 23 states. Democracy remains on the docket.
