Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

NEW: Police are using “tower dumps” to get data on any vehicle that connected to cell towers thanks to connected car features. But automaker & ISP policies dictate what cops can get w/o a warrant. @dell.bsky.social has the scoop. (no paywall bc FOIA) www.wired.com/story/police...
And is the statement “the sun will rise tomorrow” also a thought-terminating cliché? No. Like the statement that humans cannot change sex, it’s simply a fact.
Labour might wonder why, less than a year into a new government promising “change”, people are giving up on it in droves. So let me help it out with a few clues.
1. Cutting disability benefits
2. Freezing Local Housing Allowance.
3. Maintaining the cruel, Malthusian two-child benefit cap ....

So when someone goes to work and they’ve fully transitioned, they should announce to their new colleagues that they’re trans? You do understand the concept of a private life right?
For one, gender reassignment has now been rendered totally meaningless and the policy in the health service alone appears to be continuously outing trans people by referring to them as their birth sex above anything else which is in direct conflict with the ECHR in relation to Article 8.
Surely trans people “out” themselves by the very act of transitioning. Or does everyone around them magically forget their original sex?
Medically, concealing one’s biological sex has potential health implications; doctors are constrained by patient confidentiality not to reveal it to others.
12. Adopting Reform’s messaging, branding and performative cruelty towards asylum seekers.
13. Proposing yet another draconian anti-protest law, while fighting in court to defend the worst of the Tory laws.
14. Failing to address the crisis facing trans people ...

While I'm not involved in any political party, I think @zackpolanski.bsky.social's analysis is correct. Thanks to Labour's multiple, infuriating failures, the Greens could become huge here, but only if they are bolder, more assertive and, yes, "eco-populist". www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Much as I would like to, George, I'm not voting Green again until they drop their ludicrous, counter-scientific policy that men can magically change into women (and vice versa) just by saying so, and purge the arrivistes who brought that policy about.
Challenge for Labour is how to appeal to left and right and not lose support in both directions. Meaningful progress on boats / asylum critical. But so too is cost of living, NHS & offering something on poverty / inequality. A key issue for 2024 Labour voters.

The Autism "study" will be led by a guy who pretended to be a doctor even though he only has a BA in bio and who attempted a small-scale genocide of autistic people through chemical castration, so you know it'll be legit.
More fool them for drafting it poorly. As various legal scholars have pointed out, their intentions in drafting the law are irrelevant; what matters - and is the basis of the Supreme Court's ruling - is the law as written.
Gender is a grammatical term. Gender is the way we refer to our biological sex, or inanimate objects' lack of it.
The vast majority of those who seek to convince us that they're transgender also want us to believe they've literally changed sex. They haven't.
Ah yes, the government asking Jews to register as Jewish, in the name of protecting the Jews. No way that could go wrong www.nytimes.com/2025/04/23/n...
Who does? But at least “GCs” don’t threaten them with death, rape and beatings. Or try to get them sacked from their jobs, or excluded from participating in their professional associations. Trans activists, on the other hand…
She has freedom of speech. What neither she nor the rest of us have is freedom from consequences.
She slandered the judges of the highest court in the land, whose authority she is obliged as an MSP to uphold.
Consequently, she should resign from parliament.
