Okay, it comes down to this — it’s stunning how every character is so nuanced, messy and complicated. “Evil” characters can get hit with pangs of sudden empathy and crippling morality…
…and “good” characters can, out of fear or expedience or just exhaustion, make cruel, cold or indifferent decisions. And it all feels so… human.
A fucking space opera full of robots and beasties speaks more to our current situation — and what it’s putting EVERYONE through — better than a thousand think pieces or op-eds.
