Sinister is synonymous for being left-handed. If this was 1900 you would think I had a mental illness…
Sinister just means on the left side in a literal translation using its etymology. The idea that all people who are left handed are sinister in today's use of the word is as preposterous as a man becoming a woman because he decides to. The latter, not a choice of words, but the way one lives.
