- Over the past four months, Ed Martin has abused his position as interim U.S. Attorney to advance a dangerous agenda that places the president’s personal interests above those of the public, tramples the rule of law, and puts our democracy at risk. He is unfit to serve in public office.
- Supposedly, this is what the majority of Americans voted for.
- Please stop sugar-coating heinous acts against humanity. It’s not an accusation, it’s a factual statement; Elon Musk murders children and is proud of it. He is a sociopath, not autistic, not an Aspy, just a sociopath.
- politicalwire.com/2025/05/08/b... Billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates ratcheted up his feud with Elon Musk, accusing the world’s richest man of “killing the world’s poorest children” through what he said were misguided cuts to U.S. development assistance, the Financial Times reports.
- After the liquidation sale, these could be recycled or up-cycled into something useful.
- John Roberts says the courts should not be controlled by the president. Is it time to add him to the Resistance Pantheon alongside Mitch McConnell and Dick Cheney?

- The @financialtimes.com is a rag. They can’t even get the story straight. Elon Musk has murdered children. It’s not an “accusation” it is a statement of fact.

- The National Institutes of Health will partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid to create a database of Americans with autism, using insurance claims, medical records and smartwatch data.
- If autism is a “spectrum disorder” who does this include? Who doesn’t it?
- What the Grok 'disrobe' feature means, on an app, and in a world, that may as well be an inescapable ball pit when it comes to access to nudity/partial nudity, is that the demand that it is satisfying is specifically for, what *all* tech people AND evil people desire; universal violation of consent.
- wtf?
- I’m torn between writing about the build-up to the US midterms and ignoring it because I don’t think there will be a free and fair election and writing about it only normalises an abnormal situation. Thoughts?
- By donating time to participate in the process we have a greater chance of ensuring a legitimate election. Please participate in your local Democratic Party Central Committee, that’s where it starts. Another less known avenue is you can work at polls, and sometimes get paid, to help make it so.
- If you’re wondering why young people are trending right it’s because youth orgs on the left are struggling to keep the lights on meanwhile TurningPoint and Charlie Kirk have enough money to waste on events in schools that vote 80% Democratic.

View full threadIf there was a way to compensate people for their participation in the process, perhaps not directly in cash, but through access to resources and a plan that details how their lives would improve by voting for their local Democrat, that missing 30% might show up.
- Finally, most people don’t even know there is a Democratic Party Central Committee in their county. Most people don’t know how any of this works and that they can directly participate in the process. Maybe I am spoiled in NV where I have met and talked with all our elected officials in Washington.
- I became aware of the problem at Valley High School in Vegas when our foster came home from school with a TPM brochure. I had to explain who they really are and you can imagine how that convo went
- Unfortunately, Democrats have to rely on volunteers to do this kind of work and it’s just not realistic at this time. They turn to paid consultants who are very vocal but ineffective at getting feet on the streets. We need people in spaces like schools, churches, clubs, and society in general.
- This is not good and demonstrates why we need @npr.org more than ever.
- Friendly reminder; nearly every crypto scam starts with a random person befriending you and convincing you to give you their money with some version of “send me your money and I will make you rich”.
- Let’s talk about the Reformers—who we are, and who we’re not. We are not a circular firing squad. We’re not anti-Democratic Party. We are not Sunrise Democrats. And we’re not part of the protest-to-nowhere crowd that just wants to yell without building. 1.

Dems won’t win by relying on hate for Trump. We have to give people something to vote for. We want to change the Party—because we believe in it. 14.
- I’m not supporting the Democrats who lead us to this mess.
- 📌Hold on, goddammit: If tariffs are so good for our economy, why doesn't the White House want us to see what they are actually costing us??????
- They could say something like MAGA Tax: $XX.XX
- Mark Carney has a unique opportunity to remake Canada in ways his predecessors would’ve struggled to find the political capital to do. I hope he takes advantage to build ambitious, nation-building projects to bring the country together again and get serious about reducing our dependence on the US.

- Agreed, and the best way to do that in my experience is to encourage well-informed participation in the process.
- 💥 BREAKING: The Heritage Foundation withdrew its anti-DEI proposal to IBM for shareholder vote today, originally submitted for vote at IBM's annual meeting. Why Heritage withdrew its anti-DEI proposal is unknown. Earlier today, shareholders at American Express voted to reject an anti-DEI proposal.
- Because the entire effort has reached the point of being laughably embarrassing to the Dear Leader.
- the first "question" to Leavitt during the WH "new media" briefing: "I can attest to the deportations in Florida. My Uber drivers finally speak English again."
- Who will they be driving? Are the giving out TrumpBucks so people can Uber to the Unemployment Office?
- That’s so sad. You would think our leaders would want better jobs or careers for their constituents instead of gig-work and unstable incomes with no insurance or retirement benefits.
- Perhaps this “remaking” stuff is really the problem. Thoughtfully improving and refining lessons learned over decades seems like a better approach. But I am an engineer, that’s how I think about life in general. It’s worked out pretty well so far, personally speaking.

- REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies? LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.
- They’re just throwing a bone to people sitting on the fence about keeping Prime. If you are still using Amazon or Meta products, you’re part of the problem.

- My takeaway from this: He is so fucked.
- By who? The feckless, fat, and lazy Democrats who led us here? Trump’s likely to go wings and fly before that happens. They’ll be all “unity, healing, compassion, blah fucking blah”.
