- I think gazing at the navels of myself and others to find secret patterns might be my primary kink.

- I have an extremely strong preference for d6 dice pool systems now. Feels like a lot of newer players intuit “roll and take highest” adjusting dice in hand easier than “roll and do lots of little math,” and there’s something viscerally satisfying about rolling more dice if you’re better at something

- There’s a lot in BitD that heavily impacted me. The faction system with project clocks and crew sheets were a polished version of something that existed in vague notes form in games I ran for years, and the vice indulgence system was a great thematic way to handle stress recovery.

- I’ve had a lot of success introducing new players to TTRPGs through rules light games and telling them to think of it as less of a game in the board game sense, and more like little kids playing pretend with some rules in place to help inject randomness and resolve unsure outcomes.

- I enjoyed the way you structured this, and the visual effects, though I understand why folks had some trouble with them. It felt responsive and immersive, and I felt driven to finish the entire thing in one sitting. Sometimes it got a little repetitive and might benefit from some tightening.

- I think the migration away from Twitter happens in waves inspired by the latest bad decisions running that site, and the latest wave probably went more to Gab or Truth rather than to here

- I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

- Not claiming to represent the typical subscriber, but I have unsubscribed from multiple models once I’ve noticed this happening with their pages. I get why it happens and the grind to maintain once they grow past a certain size but I just lose interest.

- I like to plan the state of the world but not what happens. A few paragraphs of notes on where the majority of the session will likely be, who is involved, etc but no firm plans on how the players will act. Improvise the action but be aware of important aspects of the situation.
- I just tried to take my glasses off before getting in the shower even though I haven’t worn glasses since getting lasik 20 years ago. Brains are weird.

- I wish when you filed your taxes you got to adjust sliders in various broad category buckets to apply where you want your taxes to go to, with the default being whatever dumb budget was deemed necessary that you then got to personalize. I’d even pay a little extra to unlock that option.

- As a 13 year old kid into Mage, and didn’t totally “get it” but could see the potential, I ran it as my primary game for the next 30 years and have now homebrewed it into something very different but recognizable at its core. That game was probably the single biggest media influence on my life.

- I think that most people severely underestimate how different everyone's experience of thinking probably is. It's tricky because we don't have a good vocabulary for describing differences in our internal experiences due to how challenging it is to describe something totally subjective.
- I want so badly to enjoy mobile games but the ecosystem they occupy apparently forces them into being annoying to play unless you are constantly purchasing magical coins at bizarre denominations that I refuse to understand.
- If you are into old school dungeon crawlers, Wizardry Variants Daphne has one of the least annoying monetization schemes I’ve seen in a mobile game and captures the feel of the old Wizardry games very well

- Is there any potential link between Dagon and the first Sumerian Apkallu in terms of imagery? A lot of the images of Apkallu I am familiar with are also associated with Dagon, but as far as I thought Dagon was more associated with Enlil than, say, Enki who the Apkallu would be more tied to.
