- Seems more than strange that a government claiming to be committed to red tape reduction & reigning in public service expenditures creates 2 new deputy positions in one OiC. But then if the overarching goal is to centralize control in the Premier's Office ... all of a sudden it makes way more sense.
- Premier Smith's "benefit of the doubt" seems to have lasted about the 5 minutes it wd have taken to review Ms Dabrusin's CV (the incoming Minister of Environment & Climate Change). Smith may seek a re-set in the AB/Ottawa relationship but that requires a good faith commitment on both sides. #abpoli

- SK proposes what is, in effect, enhanced and expanded compulsory unitization legislation for all manner of mineral developments including lithium brine projects. Sounds like a good idea but it might be better to first clarify ownership issues in relation to brine hosted minerals.

- This won't come as a surprise to @drewyewchuk.bsky.social but in a generic report issued today, the Information and Privacy Commissioner finds the Government of Alberta non-compliant in processing access to information requests under the FOIP Act. #abpoli
- I used the socratic method as a teacher as a means of modelling reasoning (first year property law). You can't teach reasoning by way of a lecture. And you can reduce the fear/intimidation factor by posting the lead questions in advance (also helps self-learning).
