- This has some psychological evidence backing it—reading fiction helps build empathy. I do it on purpose for that reason
- Notes from a recent AI conf: It might be nice if, from time to time, someone on these panels would just say, “Yes, murderbots are possible. No, we don’t know when they will be built or deployed,” or, “Yes, this technology will further escalate existing issues. Here’s what we’re doing/you should do.”
- LLMs have been helpful for understanding insurance policies. I always read through new policies, but it's hard to remember the footnotes, exceptions, and gotchas. It's helpful for things a simple search would not provide an immediate answer to. Wish I'd had this 20 years ago!

- They already do this to make them impossible for humans to read. It benefits the company to bury customers in multiple confusing and often contradictory statments
