- There is something growing up over the roots, but the big gnarly roots embedding themselves into the tree are poison ivy. Here's the site I got it from. www.dmu.edu/blog/2019/08...
- Every spring I take the most powerful herbicide I can find and blast every last leaf of the stuff I see. I don't know if poison ivy does this near you, but it envelopes whole trees here, which is horrifying. I cut it at the roots with a special saw when I see those. Me (almost):
