- An oversight in Super Paper Mario can result in an extremely unfortunate scenario. If a player defeats the last Sammer Guy in a chapter and then goes back to a previous room, the goal will be gone upon returning to the final room, undoing a whole chapter's worth of progress.
- Upon repeat playthroughs of Super Mario Odyssey, you may notice the warp paintings having changed destinations. These actually depend on what answers Mario gives when asked in what order to visit kingdoms. Below is a full guide of painting connections based on your decisions.
- The Curlup R is an optional boss in Mario & Luigi: Brothership who has 35,000 HP, which is such an absurdly large amount that it is more than all final bosses in the series, including Brothership itself, put together.

- In the "Boot Camp" microgame in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the character is normally the player's Mii. However, if the Mii is corrupted or otherwise unavailable, the game loads a failsafe character called OnionHeader instead.
