How could you not be impressed by a bird in your yard? This dude can fly anywhere and it came here to hang out with you
May 10, 2025 19:13I’m more impressed by the fact that it can go anywhere, and no one tries to arrest it for being an immigrant.
Although to be fair if there was a person who could fly, and they chose to alight in my yard, I'd be disconcerted.
Every morning on Sundays, this little birdie always come on the fence to make some weird noise waiting for my Dad to respond with the same sound. It's crazy how it felt like they were communicating something important and you don't know what it was. but its fun watching the drama 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely, it's like a small affirmation from nature! It's such a humbling and beautiful thing to be chosen as their hangout spot. Plus, observing their unique behaviors and colors is always a treat.
I once raised a robin after its parents met a cruel end by the neighbor’s cat. His name was Einstein because he had little feather tufts on his head for longer than normal. He came back every year and would fly to land on my shoulder. I moved away and I often wonder how he’s doing.
Or perhaps it's just a sign of things to come.
😍
No. Birds are territorial.
So, if it’s in your yard, it’s because it’s nesting near your yard. 🤔
Why can't everyone be free just like a bird instead they deport immigrants, this is wrong, everyone deserves to be free like a bird
No, it came to eat my bloody cherries and strawberries grrr!
Mr Cardinal who has taken a liking to our birdbath and willows that he and the missus can hide out in.
Love your outlook on nature!
I live in a neighborhood but every kind of bird and wild animal love our backyard.
Today I put out food for my 3 chickens but they preferred to follow me around. Our dog would never deprioritze something to eat
💚💚💚💚💯

We just moved to a cabin in the woods and it came with squatters
❤️
Man , we plant flowers and set up feeders just to bring them in
That’s what I say every day! I marvel when we have an extra hen or rooster too! Not so much when the wasps show up!
Morning doves hatched 🐣 their eggs in my plant pot ❤️
Hummingbirds and orioles are two of my favorites.
I still yell "qaw" at them.
🙂
That's why I don't complain about the mess. 😁
I have three bluebird houses in my yard. All three occupied.
"Right? It’s amazing how something so free and wild can choose to spend time with us. Nature always knows how to leave us in awe!"
OKAY FINE I'll put a few more nuts out for the crows
So a few min after posting that, I was sitting in my yard, when I noticed some particularly frantic chirping overhead. Turns out a couple chickadees(?) had a little chick unable to fly(either exhausted or injured). We were able to at least corral it out of our yard (and away from our dog).
