Laura Chapin
Feminist, relentless abortion rights advocate, foodie, world traveller, music lover, childless cat lady, proud Coloradan with Texas roots. Molly Ivins & Diane Nash are my heroes. The Chicks song "The Long Away Around" pretty well covers it.
- Reposted by Laura ChapinI know I’m beating a dead horse on this lately, but pundits and consultants who argue for this stuff are actually just arguing that politicians should cater to the views that *they* hold, which they believe are uniquely reasonable and universal. Actual swing voters have mostly incoherent politics!
- my kingdom for anyone on the “dems should take culturally moderate positions” to explain what this actually means in practice? www.thebulwark.com/p/hard-calls...

- Colorado’s Governor is not going to get gifted a $400M luxury jet from Qatar. But could the State of Wyoming give him the $325 Chevy Captiva Sport (doesn’t run, needs engine) I found on AutoTrader in Cheyenne? Let’s look at Colorado’s gift laws! #copolitics

- @davidhogg.bsky.social Hi David. Women in this country could not get a credit card or a mortgage or a car loan in their own name - without a male co-signer - until 1974. They couldn't get a business loan on their own until 1988. Financial and bodily autonomy for US women happened *in my lifetime*.

- @nberlat.bsky.social Instead of Klein & Schor, I'd suggest Senate Dems bring in Dr. Towler & Black Insights. Their research on Colorado Black voters and abortion rights was critical to our win on Amendment 79. 70% of Colorado voters of color supported Amendment 79. bsky.app/profile/blkp...

- Reposted by Laura ChapinThis is a bold face lie building on the misinformation campaign that started during the campaign. Compared to 2020, Black voters did NOT move to Trump & 12% is NOT a “very high amount.” This lie going unchallenged only builds apathy among [Black] voters who don’t know any better.
