- EVs are better than their internal combustion counterparts, but car culture itself is a huge source of resource/energy waste. We need to go back to the pre-1920 urban layouts -- compact, mixed-use -- where car ownership isn't a necessity, and reduce private vehicle ownership to a minimum.
