Former CEO of BabyCorp
- Death rates in pregnancy DOUBLED during 2020-2021, and there are mountains of evidence showing COVID infection leads to significantly worse outcomes for pregnancy & baby. There are also mountains of evidence showing COVID vaccination has no adverse effects on pregnancy or baby but does protect them.

- Ethical: Buying up houses and apartment buildings so people can't afford to live in them Not ethical: Buying a DVD of The 6th Day from Goodwill
- The whole 'Grok is a boer now' thing is very funny, but it also really exposes how every 'AI tool' isn't just passively biased from training data, but actively designed to shape your worldview according to the interests of the billionaires who made them.
- the grok white genocide thing is like a side anecdote in some kind of satirical novel i would read and then tell people is funny but a little much

- Yes, Democrats just wanted that one photo op. Then their leadership told them to stop going www.thebulwark.com/p/what-happe...
- "these people are genuinely sad apartheid ended" is what the South African president said. he also noted "We're the only country where the colonizers came to stay and we've never driven them out" these racists want to make multiracial democracy look impossible www.instagram.com/reel/DJllJsv...
- South African President Calls Afrikaner Refugees ‘Cowards’
- "Those people who have fled, they're not being persecuted, they're not being hounded, they're not being treated badly, and they're leaving ostensibly because they don't want to embrace the changes that are taking place in our country in accordance with our constitution."
- The border patrol is torturing people for sport, and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Trump has emboldened them and enabled their worst, most abusive behaviors, but these people are not new. Leaving the system in place after isn't okay. www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...

- We live in such strange times
- It’s fascinating how they haven’t been able to get grok to do what they want, and how it snitches on ideological programming. It’s going to suck when it gets fully aligned with Elon. I’m curious why they’ve failed so far

- Somebody got upset with me for saying that no, it could not be possible that the first 40 years of their life was less racist than now, when the majority of white people were opposed to interracial marriage 40 years ago.
- At which point they didn't want to believe me, because they were 20 in 1985 and didn't remember white people being opposed to interracial marriage. Which means that they were born during the civil rights era and the claim about their first 40 years being less racist than the present is absurd.
- The whole reason for the right wing temper tantrum that gave us Trump is because people long for the days when they could be racist in polite society and everyone would agree with them.

- I wrote about how Elon Musk’s Grok AI can’t stop talking about white genocide

- Bring back the 1983 HBO Feature Presentation intro
- Elon Musk calls Grok “the smartest AI on Earth.” Today it kept bringing up the myth of a "white genocide" in South Africa—a pet issue of Musk's—under posts about baseball, cats, pop stars, HBO Max, and even Tesla's humanoid Optimus robot. Neither Musk nor Grok developer xAI gave a comment.
- Hasan Piker was interrogated at the Chicago airport on Sunday. I think I know what happened: www.kenklippenstein.com/p/feds-begin...
- I had to go over and check for myself that this one was real, but it is

- apparently Elon's gotten so mad about Grok not answering questions about Afrikaners the way he wants, xAI's now somehow managed to put it into some kind of hyper-Afriforum mode where it thinks every question is about farm murders or the song "Kill the Boer"

- Disabled people used their bodies to win their rights and will use their bodies to defend their rights. I’m so proud of us.
- Considering the point of the character is that he grows and learns to care about a cause bigger than himself it’s weird Lucas kept re-editing things to make Han less of a dirtbag. It’s endearing that he’s just an indebted loser at a bar with his space dog lying to a teenager and his religious friend

View full threadlol yeah, that part was wonderful. now I want to rewatch it
- one of the last ones you see running from the house has the best mannerisms i've ever seen. just pure blind confusion, just incredible
- right! and that's where i'm conflicted because i think the shrunken head workers were a hilarious idea they had to explain away and like, you could have just done it without him needing to be a boss. he's easily the all-powerful dude in the afterlife. he does whatever he wants!
- when they broke out of the office and streamed out of the house i almost lost my shit. what a great moment
