- FWIW. My prediction would be the cardinals choose another pope from the global south. But one less concerned with European and American ideological debates altogether. Possibly more conservative than Francis on issues, but interested in growth in the south, not fighting over northern issues.
- Again, the chart below is circa 2023, but Francis has had the College of Cardinals (who vote for the next pope) stacked with his own choices for roughly a year and a half.
