- I want to be optimistic that there will be a quick learning curve with the new job, but I am afraid that might require taking a more nuanced view on the legacy in Vancouver. One of the panelists had a good take on this.
- In Canada many aspire to be homeowners. @lausterna.bsky.social and I have proposed a dual measure of "housing frustration", the ability of young adults to form independent households and the ability of middle aged adults to achieve homeownership. We should probably pay attention to both.
- Really hoping the “it’s truly a shame that children go to school hungry in our city, but technically that’s the responsibility of a different level of government, so too bad so sad” crowd won’t win out on this one…
- On today’s Council agenda: I’ll introduce my motion (co-submitted w/ Cllr Fry) to restore school food funding recently cut. No child should go hungry at school. This is about protecting health, supporting learning, and standing up for equity. Let’s fix this. #VanPoli Link below 👇🏻
