- Reposted by James ChapmanI don’t think anybody has suggested Southport was “a fascist uprising”. Rather it presented an excuse for a lot of racist people to spread racist conspiracy theories and engage in and incite racist violence. That is a matter of record. The desperation to pretend otherwise is bizarre.

- Reposted by James ChapmanIt's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.

- Reposted by James ChapmanHere's @peterkellner.bsky.social telling Labour it'd better restore frictionless trade asap with the EU. If not, "The economy won’t recover enough. Labour will be judged to have failed. It will be voted out of office." He's even more blunt on demographics! kellnerp.substack.com/p/three-reas...

- Reposted by James Chapman🚨🚨For those who believe (and it seems the correct inference imho) that #kremlin was working behind the scenes to orchestrate #brexit (a nation-dividing political event), this story is further evidence substantiating this narrative. 🧵 www.bbc.com/news/article...

- Reposted by James ChapmanIn any other major city in Europe the streets of Soho would obviously be pedestrianised and businesses/visitors on a glorious day like today could enjoy al fresco dining. But thanks to Westminster Council and the way we give outsized power to absurd local complaints, not here!

- I am really getting into Gregory Alan Isakov. So much so I’ve booked tickets to see him in London later this year. Not an artist I’ve encountered before but he’s giving me major Sufjan vibes. The Stable Song is brilliant. @gregoryalanisakov.bsky.social open.spotify.com/playlist/37i...
