The Last Jedi, Rogue One, and Andor are the only Disney Star Wars projects I have enjoyed. Andor ending kinda feels like a jumping off point from the whole franchise tbh
May 14, 2025 05:46I'm not really a Star Wars guy. I respect what Lucas was trying to do, love the look of the original trilogy, and enjoyed a few random chunks of the old EU. TRoS was so abhorrent that I wanted to eject from the whole concept right there, Andor is the thing that drew me back in
And it seems like it basically bombed, despite its sterling reputation among those who watched it. So I have very low hopes for anything decent following it
That's fine. These things don't need to keep going forever. An actual high quality piece of art coming out of it and being ignored compared to the slop is the sign that it's time for this whole thing to end. Just enjoy the good parts of what already was
It is still kinda funny to me cause my friend group, unconnected to the bullshit discourse, really enjoyed TLJ premiere night. Always got it was very refreshing to the more formulaic first jump.
