“Humans exhibit bias too” will be blocked without hesitation.
Stuff like this is a big reason why I find edtech ai boosters so egregiously aggravating. We’ve had decades of research that shows how technological systems reinscribe discrimination yet folks happily hop on to the next tech bandwagon with little or no reflection.
May 6, 2025 21:35the people you're talking about have literally never thought about what education is for. they take wholly for granted that everyone knows what education is (a driver of some manner of performace, for which there is a metric), and as such take for granted that this halfbaked edtech can improve it.
like, if they weren't contextualized by outrageous grift and domination, posts like mine would be seen as petty ridicule of the disabled (these people don't know any better), but they are not disabled. they're entitled. they're sad and limited, but not disabled. the situation is infuriating.
Goldfish have better memories than some people. How is education happening when effort and epiphany is replaced with automation?
Unquestioningly equating "newer" with "better" and "the future" is so 1990's.
