- Vibe coding: 1. does not make me faster 2. is not fun 3. does not make a better output than me (but it has a small place in my workflow) AI Assistant: 1. helps me workout best practices 2. finds edge cases I did not find before 3. helps in areas where I have shortcomings 4. is a good review fellow

- I’m afraid for many it’s actually the only marketing 🤣
- Sometimes I scroll Twitter because some accounts I enjoy reading are there. What a horrible experience it is. - Conspiracy theorists and MAGA nuts - AI "influencers" that really want you think they know something you don't - Elon. he's everyhere, every two tweets, whichever tab you're in.
- Thinking of the time someone wanted a refund on the course purchased 2 years earlier - because I'd made it public (2 years later)
- Am I the only madman running 3 IDEs open at once? (Webstorm, Cursor, Zed)

- I wish! But still a beast, M3 Max with 32GB :) The latest Webstorm update seems to handle monorepos a ton better with the new TS engine!

- I also got caught 🥲 sometimes it recovers by itself during the same Core Update. Fingers crossed for both!
- Rented a scooter today and drove down the Amalfi coast with my girlfriend 🛵🇮🇹 Hands down THE most beautiful thing I have ever done. Mama mia, thanks <HTML> 🤌
- I'm from nearby - it's beautiful. You chose the right time to go - cause in the summer it will be way too packed :)
- In hindsight should not have opened IBKR

- Taipei - About $50/month as I pay monthly - it's less with the "normal" annual plans. It doesn't have a pool but has sauna/jacuzzi. It is huge and I rarely need to wait to use equipment which is quite nice. By far the most equipped gym I have ever seen, by far more equipped than the ones in London

- I sort of stopped 3 months ago due to insomnia (I only drink a few sips first thing in the morning now) and among other benefits, the mood swings Dmytro describes are mostly gone
- Do you drink coffee?

- Enjoy Italy!
- Thinking of when a digital nomad "living" in Thailand thought he was entitled to a PPP discount because wages in Thailand are lower
- This happens all the time also with people from in fact poorer countries who happen to be software engineers in Europe and US.
- This can't come soon enough Between Typescript 7, Turbopack, Rolldown, etc. I'm hopeful we won't be needing beast CPUs for software development anymore in the future devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/t...
- Sometimes I wonder how some people find the energy/drive to enter long debates on Reddit/HN.
- Why's everyone making games now on the Bad Place?

- Well right now it seems like all they do is trip people into FOMOing with any new AI tool, model or whatever comes out. People FOMOing in turn will do the same to feel better about themselves. And that's pretty much all I see 😅
- Reason: AI is attracting a LOT of non programmers to my product. They think they can ship without understanding the code - and in most cases this means angry customers, refund and chargebacks. Many times, they make a substantial financial expense to buy a kit, when they should use OSS instead
- 30% of my daily emails is convincing people not to buy my product

- They'll 100% want to acquire them - so far they've been out-competed despite the incredible size difference. I went for an annual Cursor license before tax year end, but at some point I'll re-evaluate Copilot to see where they're at

- how did we go from IndieHackers to this cult 🤦♂️
- Probably that they ship really fast. Whatever Cursor comes up will take 6 months for Github (which are barely getting to feature parity with them). At least that's my impression.
- Made the mistake of opening Twitter. Sorry, me.

- I guess the only good thing about one-time payments is churn doesn't exist 😅 (except refunds and chargebacks)

- A lot to learn here. Every indie maker is chasing the hot new thing and leaves old projects in the dust. If a project doesn't look maintained (ex. recent blog post, changelog, etc.) I won't use an indie tool by default.

- Playwright? I don't do production testing with it but in dev it's a lifesaver

- Just upgraded to an annual plan today before the end of tax year. This week's worth of usage totally convinced me.

- Rather weird timeline we live in
- For some reason I love using Cursor's Composer for throwaway code or non-core code, but I can't bring my self to use it for the important (or fun) pieces.
- It would have been quite a great period if my mental health wasn’t being crushed by US going full Hydra and impending chaos on the countries I care about

- Besides comparing gutting the US government with packing a luggage - I’m really curious - how do you justify the double nazi salute?
- The Makerkit Dev Tools would probably be universally appreciated in the Next.js world. Maybe one day I'll open source it.

- The Makerkit Dev Tools went from <doesnt-exist> to <quite-freaking-good> in less than a day. Cursor was a huge help.
