I write and I co-founded TransWrites.world / @TransWrites.world with Lee Hurley to platform trans voices around the world. I'd say we're not doing so bad at it so far.

- This is Foran with Helen Joyce, who is infamous for declaring that "GCs" must get through to "decision makers" in order to "reduce" the "numbers" of trans people. You are platforming someone who is deeply involved in one of the key movements of contemprary fascism, @ukcla.bsky.social.
- The pride flag on our church sign has been vandalised and ripped off five times in the last seven days and I'm just... So tired.

- Demonstrating the flaws in ideological projects like the Cass Review is necessary, critical work, but we should also not lose sight of what this implies: that our structurally transphobic institutions are corrupt, motivated, and require only the flimsiest of rationalizations to target trans people.
- Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
- Every single win for trans rights in the UK has been dragged out of the Labour party kicking and screaming, like pulling teeth rather than given. This is the beginning of this round of that process. First we ask. Then they say no. And then we insist.
- This isn’t the first time I have seen this from Professor Appleby. The claims that trans people are going to be banned from the loo? Very much coming from GC transphobes. And the EHRC. And the Government. So not trans people causing the distress…

- Removing the anti-fascist protection for human rights enables fascism. End of.
- One of Labour’s last remaining trans councillors, Dylan Tippetts, has quit the Labour Party this morning over the party’s transphobia. Dylan made headlines in 2022 when he was elected as Plymouth’s first openly trans councillor.

- Seeing a lot of people very worried about a proposed amendment to the Data Bill. In short, such amendments very rarely succeed without Government support - which this one doesn't have. It may still however create some nasty debate if selected. But if you're worried, you can write to your MP.

- 🏳️⚧️ A lot has happened, and we've tracked it all so you don't have to. Here are the key headlines of how Westminster politicians, Scotland, the EHRC and the police have responded to the Supreme Court ruling 👇🧵
- My latest article on the judgment is now out in Prospect Magazine. This one I think is probably the most shareable with those who aren't as aware of what is going on. Please take a look!
- Politicians seem confused after the ruling that sex should be understood as biological under the Equality Act—and trans people are waiting to see how much their rights have been reduced. @jessothomson.co.uk analyses the judgment for @prospectmagazine.co.uk www.prospectmagazine...

- A request for my friends and followers: It's highly likely that a lot of burner transphobic accounts will pop up here today, gloating over the Supreme Court ruling. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE. It just encourages them. Give them the ignore, report, block treatment. And tag @hedgehogsafety.bsky.social
- My analysis of the EHRC "interim update" is out — in the form of an FAQ — laying out my thoughts on the state of the law, and how employers and service providers can best remain trans-inclusive. Just my academic thoughts, not legal advice, but hopefully of use. www.wearequeeraf.com/faq-ehrc-int...
- Yes. In a sane media environment, the bathroom ban would be the end of anyone treating 'gender critical feminists' as anything other than a hate group. It's a straightforwardly bigoted policy that imposes an insane 'solution' to a nonexistent problem.
- The UK's political and media class has spent years heaping sadism on trans people, and they want to do the same in Ireland next. Calls for civility and calm won't cut it. We need to fight them tooth and nail. www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle-co...
- I gave an interview to Al Jazeera on the Supreme Court judgment, and the surrounding context. I think it's possibly the best thing I've ever done (?) so give it a listen. youtu.be/dhRKIZi60NI?...

- i know this might be a little nitpicky but attacking the wielding of sex by making an argument that transition changes biological sex is still ceding too much to sex. it's evidently true that medical and surgical transition changes the body. however,
