- i cannot express how much indie authors should consider joining itch. the community is growing, the buyers are there and you get income immediately when a book is bought. consider it! setting your books up there is SUPER EASY and tbh really worth it. 📚💙

- THIS. My son did an English Language A level with @icslearn.co.uk and it was nastly, the most soulless, petty-minutiae-obsessed thing. It taught him nothing - not how to craft a pitch, an article or a story, and certainly no passion, no love of creative writing (which was what he wanted to do).
- This is a useful demo of just how easy it is to transform an "AI" into a fascist propaganda machine; we only noticed b/c Elon demands everything be done fast and half-assed, so it broke. But they'll fix it, and from now on xAI will prioritize white nationalist claims more subtly, forever.

- This hack was already confirmed as fake by Valve. The source is a random Twitter user citing a LinkedIn post. This 2FA is not used by Valve. There's no harm in changing your password but you don't need to freak out about your information.
- 70% of all active Steam user accounts have now been compromised due to a third party 2FA breach. “Further analysis by Underdark AI has apparently revealed that the batch contains two-factor SMS logs, message contents, metadata, delivery status and other details.” Change your Steam password right now
- Most of our authors use Vellum to format their books and the majority of them leave the "Created with Vellum" line on their copyright page because they believe in attribution. This post by @mindyklasky.bsky.social explains what this means. We do not permit our members to use AI in any capacity.
- 6 fucking people, one of whom transitioned over a decade ago is not a goddamn trend, especially given the number of A-list celebrities with kids that exist. Is no one embarrassed to be writing this shit? Bring back public shame. I want to throw tomatoes at someone.

- Hey. So back in 2023 I wrote about the perils of using an LLM for cataloguing and other library functions. TL;DR it's a bad idea. Don't fall for the hype. bookjockeyalex.com/2023/05/08/s...
