- 💜📄[hc] one of the kids in terncliff has pop-up dialogue that says "i guess not all adults are bad people..." and it's making me think so much about how gaius gets a 'fresh slate' with a new batch of children. the incongruity of knowing what you've wrought and being a trusted adult to these orphans..

- -you will die hated (deservedly so). what would compel gaius to change at all, really? that's the part i like to think about a lot. he's well aware no amount of penance will ever grant him forgiveness. dead man walking vibes until he learns to trust those who love him a little
- also, completely removed from my own wol lore, i know gaius sticks around because allie is still alive. if he were to die now, well. just another child he'd disappoint and leave with nothing when he is literally all she has at that point. :')
