My happy place: Beside a clear stream in the forest with a dry tent and a small fire close by: The best place to clear the mind, cleanse the soul and watch curious forest creatures examine the strange 2-legger who has come to visit. I Block The Irrational.
- It’s incredible that the President of the United States is openly flirting with suspending Habeas Corpus, disappearing people left and right, arresting judges and politicians, accepting ludicrous bribes from foreign countries, and people are still trying to normalize this shit.
- To be fair, I argued that Biden was still qualified to be president even though he wasn't spry. In effect, I normalized the lack of spryness. I'm not proud of it, but still.
- Police in Nova Scotia have remained tight-lipped for days since they announced a “scaled back” search for two missing children from a rural part of the province which entered its 10th day. globalnews.ca/news/1117527...

- Prime Minister Mark Carney and his cabinet are set to be sworn in on Tuesday. Here's what to watch for. globalnews.ca/news/1117523...
- Please, liberal party, remember that we didn't vote for you, we voted for "not the fascists." Lean left. Work with the NDP. Merging with them formally would unite this country's deeply divided left wing.
- The NDP will never merge with the Liberal Party - and I hope they never do. The last thing Canada needs is a 2-party system - which is contributing to the fatal demise of the US. Reform and "modernization" are definitely needed, but not a merger.
- Taking a page from President Trump's playbook, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced visa restrictions, using language his critics said was dangerous.
- You have to give Starmer credit. Turning a "commie, socialist party" like Labour into a hard-right fascist party so quickly couldn't have been easy.
- The world is more divided than ever, but there’s still something (nearly) everyone agrees on: The US is unloved. Meanwhile, China keeps improving its global standing 👇 www.politico.eu/article/usa-...
- At one time, Rome was the "greatest nation in the history of the world". Until it came to believe its own empty rhetoric, relied on the corrupt and incompetent, and poof! Gone.
- Breaking news: As part of an agreement hammered out in Geneva over the weekend, the US will lower tariffs on Chinese goods to 30% from 145% and China will reduce duties on US imports to 10% from 125%. www.ft.com/content/9288...
- Okay, so how many dolls and pencils can kids have today? I'm not good at math.
- Should at least say Democrats seek immediate impeachment… www.latintimes.com/democrat-see...
- One usually follows the other. That's why the GOP worked so hard on "probing" Hunter Biden and if he used his relationship with Joe for personal gain. If so, that would have legitimized an impeachment. Without it, it went nowhere.
- One thing about both the NDP win in B.C. and now the Liberal victory federally is that by the time the next election comes along in each jurisdiction, the parties should be able to fully own whatever the state of things is. No COVID or previous govt to blame (though they will, they always do)
- Trump has the ability to make COVID look like a paper cut, economically speaking.
- It’s the first Air Force One that comes with gold trim, mood lighting, and gold faucets to blind incoming missiles.
- I'm going to assume that the aircraft is still susceptible to a tragic mechanical malfunction which would cause it to fall from the sky and crash in an explosive fireball, killing all on board. So, there's that.
