View full threadThe best new beer I tried in March: Woodworker: Crooked Path, by Baerlic This is a barrel-aged imperial stout that's brewed with coconut and vanilla, and it's really nice. It's full bodied, plenty boozy, and it doesn't overdo it with the coconut. Just a really good, strong imperial stout.
- The best new beer I tried in April: Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter, by Hardywood This was delicious! It's made in collaboration with Trader Joe's, and it's based on TJ's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. It's a rich, chocolate-malty porter with plenty of peanut-buttery goodness in the mix.

- The best new beer I tried in January: Vanilla Triple Dog, by Abita This is the next evolution of their Turbodog brown ale - a "robust dark ale" that's every bit as robust as promised. It's got a generous helping of caramel and chocolate malts, a nice splash of vanilla, and lots of booziness. Yum.
- The best new beer I tried in February: Bourbon Barrel Aged Hazelnut Porter, by Pfriem Whooo, boy. It's a hazelnut porter that's aged in bourbon casks for 10+ months, and that most certainly does it good. What you get is a deep, richly flavorful hazelnut beer that's oaky and boozy and full-bodied.
