I've really come a long way. From getting death threats, harassed & attacked because people believed I was faking or exaggerating my disabilities for clout and money.
To owning my successful disability aid business. And helping thousands of people over the last 5 years. I'm proud of myself.
Years ago, when my business was under 1 year old. People were so sure I was faking being disabled because I looked fine. Yes I used to be able to fake being able bodied for many years. But I conquered my internalized ableism and decided to be open about my struggles and get help/support.
"You can't be disabled! You're young and look fine!"
The big bottle of synthetic proteins I have to have injected into me every two months to keep my Crohn's at bay says otherwise. :)
I know how it feels, and I'm so sorry you had to go through it, too. 💖🫂
As someone with heavy gluten sensitivity, I feel this!
While some days I don't look disabled, other days I do. And even when I don't, I'm still disabled cause I have permanent bad tummy days 😅
Pasta was my enemy over the weekend cause I ended up with the wrong noodles. Tasted so good but was hell 😭
Oogh. Luckily I don't have any dietary sensitivities (yet), but my FIL has the same thing as you, so I've witnessed how bad it can get.
May your next pasta meal treat you kinder. 💖🫂
Yea its luckily fairly easy to manage so long as I keep cross contamination minimal.
This place said they had gluten free pasta, unfortunately the worker swapped my noodles for regular noodles (not sure why) and I didn't notice till I had eaten half of my food and got sick feeling.
Apr 23, 2025 18:14I'm more mad they swapped my pasta for a regular version tbh.
I don't care why you think someone's dietary restrictions are fake, if you purposely mess with their order, your are willingly harming them.
People are assholes and think they know better.
For many of us GF isn't a choice, it's a need
