Outsider
Lost and confused, but still trying.
- insane moment in world history right here

- It in imperative for full comprehension to read the full comment, for example: the first five words of my comment above this one.

- You're making it sound like the word hallucination is just a buzzword for AI. By your reasoning when a child cleans their room, if they say "because mom told me to" it's a hallucination because they could have said "I love my mom" or "I wanted to listen to my mom."
- some of you really need to take your food opinions less seriously and stop giving evil little gremlins like me the power to instantly upset you by saying i eat ketchup on my hot dogs or whatever
- Have you considered having taste?
- Step one of everyone’s plan to make the Democratic Party win elections is always “First, my personal ideological faction will gain greater control of the Democratic Party,” which is the exact point I stop taking you seriously
- Left, center, I don’t care - if you think the problem is that you haven’t been given enough ideological control over other Democrats, you’re never going to disabuse me of the notion that you are prioritizing internal control of the institution over its actual electoral success
- Let's pretend the democratic party suddenly became left wing. Are you saying that this wouldn't at all change how you perceive it or how you engage in politics?
- Will suggests that he "wouldn't care" if the democratic party became left wing. Somehow I doubt this is true.
- So during Brexit Nigel Farage whipped everyone up into a nationalist frenzy and said a bunch of lies about how they could use Brexit bucks to fund healthcare and now everyone knows he was lying and it didn’t do anything for anyone and Britain is like “damn this guy is smart we should listen to him”
- My theory that the average person is stupid enough that their opinion doesn't matter holds strong.
- Interesting that he believed this and that also natives are inferior.
- The idea that Dems just need to say the magic words in the right order to win is an attempt to put a bandaid on a broken civic system where many voters do not even know how the government or the things they rely on to live work
- I think people really need to consider if the right move is to desperately try to maintain a country with people that very explicitly do not want it to exist. Let them go.
- people who want a China style internal market
- All I'm saying is that nothing would meaningfully change in my life if PepsiCo owned literally every drink sold in America. My point is that I think the fact that the leading religion in the US is capitalism, plus the fact that most people care more about comfort than meaning, not caring happens.
- It’s incomprehensible but if you had to ascribe the controlling political ideology of the United States you could probably go with “rightwing evangelical atheism”
- Reading this just makes me question how many actual churches follow their dogma vs. How many are just glorified weekend hang out sessions.
