- Pretty sure I was all alone in the last 2:15pm screening of SWAMP DOGG GETS HIS POOL PAINTED at IFC and let me just say y’all are missing out.
- Come learn about legend of cinema verité Charlotte Zwerin, at this separate admission double feature. Q&A following SALESMAN featuring Mirra Bank, Deborah Dickson, Susan Froemke, Muffie Meyer and the writer of a New Yorker profile on Charlotte - Michael Schulman! metrograph.com/category/cha...
- Man, I’m upset I didn’t see FREAKY TALES in a theater. So good, so fun!
- Why not FlowMax as a play on "streaming?"
- Reposted by Joseph Krings, ACEBaseball is cinema! Great chat with @SNYtv rockstar director @johndemarsico.bsky.social on the art of a baseball broadcast, directorial influences and the Brian De Palma effect. Plus: NHL, NBA and Mrs. Met got her Twitter back?! open.spotify.com/episode/1dzz...
- This weekend I miss heard Corny Country as Horny Country and coincidentally found this at Love Garden Records in Lawrence, Kansas.

- I did a home double feature of MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH and CRASH! today as I prepare for an ACE lunch with editor Harry Keramidas, ACE... which is to say I saw more cars explode today then perhaps I have seen in my entire life up to now. Real cars being wrecked then exploding is great cinema.
- Two movies a day and not a coherent theme in sight.
- Listen, if yr gonna go to the movies for an irreverent riff on a formula I would choose PAVEMENTS over THUNDERBOLTS personally.
- If you are at all interested in Barbara Loden this is essential viewing:

- CHRISTINE in a drive-in. There must have been a kid friendly feature first but I don't remember it. I do remember pretending to be asleep in the back and peeking at the killer car. For some reason an image of dudes at the urinals sticks in my brain.
- Whoa, my random dates line up an exact month for once! This one starts with a belated birthday dinner with old Nebraska pals Chris and Pat. Being funemployed I had a lot of time for music listening. And so this is a longer than usual playlist. 1/??
- Well, I can say I was there when Soto hit I his first home run at Citi Field as a Met! #lgm
- EMERGENT CITY at DCTV right now is a fascinating watch for me as someone who moved to the Sunset Park/Industry City area in the middle of a fight over re-zoning. Still I think it’s an old school civics lesson do that anyone interested in NYC and community power dynamics could appreciate.
- I love Cronenberg, but the only way THE SHROUDS would work is with about 50% less plot.

- One of my favorite records of all time. RIP David Thomas. www.theguardian.com/music/2025/a...
- I’ve seen SINNERS twice now. The first time (70mm Alamo) I liked it- found it overstuffed, a little lumpy and a little silly- but loved the music (score & songs) and the sound. I was curious enough to do it again bigger and louder (70mm Imax AMC) and this time just loved it- imperfections and all.
- Headed to the ballpark for my personal opening day! #lgm
- Gotta say I love that jackets are back in MLB and hoodies are on the out.
- Excited to announce the most recent film I cut ROSEMEAD, starring Lucy Liu in a transformative role will premiere at the Tribeca Festival! Tickets go on sale on April 29 and I will remind you! Would love for all of my New York friends to see it! Directed by Eric Lin Produced by Mynette Louie
- Did one of the Paris Theater Sturges/Lubitsch double features today with SULLIVAN’S TRAVELS and TO BE OR NOT TO BE. Both enjoyable classics but the Lubitsch is a stone cold masterpiece.
- Good nerdy promo wherein Ryan Coogler makes understanding all the formats of his film pretty simple and sneakily makes you want to see it in the most expensive format.
- I like the Mets’ new blue script road jerseys, mostly because I love the script New York, but I don’t think they’re flattering for the boys’ figures! #mets
- Continuing my MISS MAY DOES NOT EXIST watchalong with TOOTSIE, I discovered this gem of a review…
- Epic edit room story about Elaine May during post on REDS from @carriecourogen.bsky.social ‘s MISS MAY DOES NOT EXIST. #postsky

- Until we get an ACE Presents account going over here I have to do the dirty work. Here are your Quotes from the Q&A from our conversation with editor Monika Willi following a screening of Haneke's AMOUR at @metrographnyc.bsky.social . .
- Better late than never. Quite beautiful. Wish I had seen it in a theater with it's remarkable photography.
