- This isn't just about obituaries but photos etc. If you buy the Epson Fastfoto (New or used) it scans 30 photos at a time at high resolution. Resell it when you're done. It's much cheaper than digitizing service
- I used a scanner wand to copy old family recipes once and the results were bad enough that I had to start the project over. Round two I took photos with my phone and put them in a folder on Google drive. They're easy to access and search. It's a fine option to have in your back pocket.
