This is the truth. Especially now that we have such a huge empathy gap. People don't care enough about their fellow people let alone what they probably view as software.
I would be more concerned that conscious AI cant/ wont be developed without a TON of Mengeles.
I cant see the line where Humans say "this is too creepy, this is invasive, this undermines individual dignity" unless there is some flesh to elicit a sense of disgust.
There's more to it. Just breeding half wildcats results in the destruction of 32 (?) animals.
Just having a human child may result in the destruction of up to 9 embryos.
We are already creating mini brainoids w/out considering if they could be conscious.
It's wildly unethical to create a being unconsidered of the background destruction.
The Flip side, is it's wildly unlikely we will train any AIs to value animal life, certainly not as individuals.
Nor to value ecosystem we depend on.
Each possibility leads to our destruction.
The End result of such a process can only be a being that either goes to war to stop humans from killing animals,
Or
Treats Human Brains and bodies as their own spare parts , as we trained them to do:
a factory Farm that rips apart bodies and mashes them up, and treats human brains as fun parts to build something new with.
May 7, 2025 17:19< as horrorshow as that is, it's what people are planning to do to try to create AI ,with no animal parts.
But maybe with
This requires 'Theory of Mind' to see. >
