- So excited to be at the GA Capitol today as Gov Kemp signs HB 582, the Survivor Justice Act. Thank you to our great partners GJP & GACDV for welcoming us into the fight
- I grew up in Eugene & vividly remember the day of the shooting (I was in middle school). It's so easy even for those of us who know how horrific prison is to cordon off certain cases & not think about them anymore. Thank you @jessicaschulberg.bsky.social for not letting us close our eyes
- Reposted by Felicity RoseI also worked with The Sentencing Project to publish a report on this topic. www.sentencingproject.org/reports/the-...

[...] They took away my platform & labeled me a danger to the prison.” San Quentin News editor-in-chief Steve Brooks was fired for prison reform efforts. In an op-ed, Brooks writes about his silencing.
- Reposted by Felicity Rose3 days ago RFK Jr. told the CDC to stop recommending water fluoridation, claiming it was a neurotoxin (this is a lie). Turns out he also just eliminated the CDC’s entire Lead Program, and now lead poisoned children in Milwaukee are just on their own. Lead IS a neurotoxin and harms brain development

- Reposted by Felicity RoseThe framing from legacy media on the Ms Rachel stuff is insane. Nowhere do they say that these are baseless claims, or that what she said (every child's life is precious and worthy) is not "Hamas propaganda." If u didn't know the background to this story and saw this post, you'd believe their smear
- Good news in hard times: HB 582, the Georgia Survivors Justice Act, passed unanimously today and went to the gov for signature. This bill will help hundreds of abuse survivors trapped in prison as a result of their abuse come home! wapo.st/4iVZgsb

- Reposted by Felicity RoseDozens more pregnant and postpartum women have died in Texas hospitals since the state banned abortion, our analysis shows. As the maternal mortality rate dropped nationally, it rose in Texas by 33%.

- Reposted by Felicity Rose“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”
- Reposted by Felicity RoseToday I lost an NIH grant training clinicians to do research about intimate partner violence with perinatal women. More women are murdered in the perinatal period than die of obstetric complications. I didn't just lose a grant. We lost an entire cohort of people building careers to prevent that.

- Reposted by Felicity RoseThe Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled. This will hurt both kids and small, local farmers.
- Hard to be surprised today.m and I know this is not funny but honestly I lol’d at this interpretation of how a farmer “makes” things. Crops: that well known fungible good
