- Some will say that Badenoch was simply telling porkies, but I think more likely, frankly, that she simply wasn't across the detail of the trade deal enough to know:
- There's a version in which she knows about the demand but doesn't sign it off unless India makes a far better offer to the UK. That would be reasonable. But she doesn't make the case so I suspect she wasn't sweating the detail as you suggest.May 7, 2025 16:35
