- That still doesn't make our lie untrue. 🤔 No, genuinely, these look incredible and I want a pair!
- The happiest of Birthdays to the sprightly Puck Pieterse. It is difficult to comprehend that she is only 23. Multiple World, European, & National Championship medals (including gold) in Cyclo-Cross & Mountain Biking. She turned to the road & picked up La Flèche Wallonne & a TdF stage. Wonderkid.

- Shamefully, this is also how we just discovered this. I don't know why, in my mind, it was a tech company. 🫣
- We're not jealous.

- Would love him to stay but, ideally, you only want players who really want to be at the club. He's been a fantastic players for us and we'll miss him. But genuinely think with a less high line, Van de Ven, Danso, and Dragusin (when back) are exceptional options. And that's if we sign no-one.
- Geoff Parling’s appointment as the new Head Coach of Leicester Tigers has made our editor feel very old. He takes a slightly nostalgic look at what the former Leicester, England, and Lions lock means for the club. #LeicesterTigers #Tigers #Rugby #RugbyUnion

View full threadI don't know if you saw the disgusting Harry Redknapp comments, he made during some event? I actually think there has been less "outrage" about TT than there was about Sven - the first.
- Just in case you haven't, found the mini thread from the time. bsky.app/profile/copp...

- Oh yes! What a kit *that* was. And the Campos kit is just seriously gorgeous. It was the first World Cup that I can really remember, as a kid. And the Sweden team with Brolin, Brazil, Italy and *that* keeper kit were what I remember! :) Sadly, also Maradona's drug thing.
- "There would be a bittersweet irony in Kane finally getting his hands on some silverware, if Spurs were also to win one this season. If this were to happen, I think the world might disappear into a vortex. As a Spurs fan, it would be amazing." Read our Monday Sports Report! #SportsReport #MSR
- In my former life (as a football editor), I spoke with a colleague in Brazil and he explained this whole thing to me. I found it thoroughly depressing. I mean you can understand it, from a financial perspective. But from a human one, and as a football fan, it's just sad.
- P.S. Brazil sounds amazing. I'll be in Mexico around that time, slightly randomly.

- From our Monday Sports Report today:

- It's true. They are notoriously demanding. You can win a domestic treble and still be under pressure if you don't win the Champions League.
- I think Real fans will accept it, as it's their first trophy-less season in ages. But also eternal respect for Ancelotti. Brazil fans will surely just love a manager of his calibre coming in? They've not been flushed with success in recent years.
- Although, rather sadly, a big part of that is they now actually coach in a more European style, so they can sell their academy talent for more money, as they are effectively ready "off-the-shelf." It's why we see less of the beautiful "ginga" football now.
- Umm this doesn't seem right

- Biathlon was a sport I picked up, during the 2022 Winter Games. It's sort of amazing. It's like cross country skiing, but then you need to somehow bring your heart rate down for the shooting elements. Plus the courses are fantastic - and love their dual-use for MTB stuff too.

- Absolutely me too. Can't wait for the 24th now! It's Nové Město na Moravě, which is always exceptional. I seem to remember they use some of the biathlon course for it.
- This is Mitch Hutchcraft. He just completed an extreme Triathlon, by swimming the English channel, cycling 7,500 miles to India, running 559 miles to Kathmandu, and then climbing Everest. He did it to support conservation charity SAVISM. What a guy. savsim.org 📸 Blue Door Productions 📸

- I just found something. Apparently, since he was a child, he wanted to join Madrid, mostly because of Ronaldo. So he chose it as a subject to learn in school. That's some level of dedication to your dream.
- [Not loaded yet]
- That's astonishing. I mean he seems like an intelligent young man, but is there any particular reason for it? Or was he just prepping for his dream in Madrid?
- It's a funny one. He is undoubtedly one of the world's best footballers. But has he improved Madrid? No. Are PSG better without him? Yes. P.S. could he speak Spanish, when this video was made?
- Carlo Ancelotti is the new Brazil Men's National team manager. The iconic Italian leaves behind a gargantuan legacy in club football, winning a record 5 Champions League titles. He becomes the Seleção's first-ever foreign coach. #Brazil #Ancelotti #Seleção #Selecao #Brasilia

- It's actually great advice. I did the same over the weekend. Glad you have some downtime though! Enjoy!
- So apparently this is the new Twitter… Hello Bluesky 👋
- Yes, Nico. It's like Twitter was, back in the annals of history, when it was actually good, helpful and friendly. Welcome!
- You, having a rest after the herculean Vuelta efforts.

- 😂 To be fair, i'm looking forward to next year's one of "when the goat rammed into Dion Smith," episode. That was truly historic.

- Not completely terrible. Burkinshaw did relegate us, but then quickly built the team of Hoddle/Ardiles/Villa. I think there was a good 7/8 seasons between them. Let me know how good *my* memory is of that. 🫣

- I feel ashamed this one has been lost to the mists of time, in my mind.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Still amazing. Thank you for clarifying.
- We're quite lucky we hit the 30-point safety barrier a while ago. 🤭 Although, that would be iconically "Spursy." Winning Europa League and getting relegated. Champions League and Championship, in the same season.

- I just checked. I don't think that's correct? If Cyclo-X, she won it last year too, if Cross Country, she also won that in 2023. Both date back decades, including women's races. Was Puck confused? I can't think what she was referring to. 🫣

- I'm shocked I don't remember that one.

- This is amazing, thank you so much. Have bookmarked.
- Can get on board with this level of detail. And randomness.

- P.S. I'd watch all of it, if it was on.
- We're relatively lucky in the UK. We tend to get most of the Cross Country, CX, Downhill etc. etc. Sadly, we don't get the national champs from other countries. But the World Tour, Europeans, special events etc.

- This year. Dion Smith got (quite literally) rammed by one at full speed. 🫣

- When he walked out against us (England), in his prime, I used to have genuine fear. Even if you'd lost an early wicket or two, him coming in at 3 or 4, you just knew that if you didn't get him out cheaply, you'd be in the field for a day and a half. Will genuinely miss him.
