- 1) I’m thrilled to accept the Webby Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in podcasting. Our podcast is just one example showing that the authoritarian crackdown on DEI is an attempt to replace real history, real research and the real work of democracy w/ some fascist bs we aint trying to hear
- 2) A huge thank you to the Webby Awards and to everyone who voted! And supreme respect and thanks to my wife Saadiqa and my daughter Eniola, Diane Hodson, Peter Bresnan, N’Jeri Eaton, George Lavender, Marshall Lewy, Sarah Geismer, Katie Long, Alison Falzetta, Leo Duran, Sam Riddell, Boen Wang….

- Mills and other administrators have responded directly to Rand on multiple occasions while simultaneously refusing to answer questions about disciplinary procedures, policies, etc from students and faculty advocating for an end to genocide and cops on campus.

- Sheppard was briefly ousted but not for any of the above! “A top NYPD official was booted behind the scenes from his post after a heated public clash with the interim police commissioner — but he was officially back in hours later after media inquiries on the ouster.” nypost.com/2024/11/05/u...
- Shepard also hired detective. Lt. Theodore Wells, who served under him in the 28th precinct. Wells failed to deposit arrestees' money, lied in an interview, and covered up force incidents. Under Shepard, Wells was promoted to captain and moved to DCPI.
- In 2021, oversight officials substantiated force charges against Sheppard for tackling and tasing a BLM protester in June 2020. Despite NYPD brass intervention in the case, the victim won a $99,000 settlement. Sheppard wasn't disciplined for the incident.
