- “Above my pay grade” said the person selected to lead the house which is meant to represent us all.
- Okay hear me out “The Adventures of Young Luthen” where he’s an Indiana Jones style archeologist who *watches flashback* ah okay.
- Huh, those Stars just keep on winning.
- I have to chuckle because the most energy the Democratic Party in Florida had in recent memory is when they were working on ending felony disenfranchisement and running prosecutors promising to enact less carceral policies.
- It’s just the answers people assume these questions will lead to aren’t always the answers they want and as we keep asking.
- I know it’s out of vogue now but I think the Stacey Abrams model of organize beyond electoral season and build the connections you need to move voters model was working before people got scared of “radical” organizing.
- “Kanye was such a big star he will always be relevant” from Russell Brand is funny because you know he tells himself the same about himself every morning in the mirror.
- “The University of Cincinnati wants to make all students eligible for Davis’s scholarship, not just Black applicants. At least six other scholarships worth about $4 million established by Black doctors at the school are also under review, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post.”

View full thread“The scholarships were going well, Davis said, but over the years, the university’s lawyers raised questions about how they were being administered and suggested that it should to be open to more than just Black students” *stares directly at the camera*
- The fact the school was pushing to get the money out of the hands of Black students also illustrates perfectly how Trump’s push is providing cover for the schools to do what they want.
- Way too much of the framing around these programs under attack are framed as if they’re a gift from the public to Black people as if we’re not a part of the public itself and these aren’t our resources too. This cuts through the noise.
