- small addendum for the one or two people reading this post: Finja disagrees with the logic. And a few books later, the girl will admit the logic is not only flawed, but that also being so on purpose. still, the situation is just so completely over the top in everything, i loved writing it so much
- it's also the very first time Finja encounters someone who is truly invested in being mean and awful. As Finja is so sheltered that even the Raiders she met were nice to her, this one moment serves as the harsh awakening, setting the complete story in motion thats why it was so fun to write :3
- There are so many books I want to write. Here are a few potential topics kicking around the back of my head: - ticks & tickborne diseases - orbweaver spiders - carnivorous plants - ladybeetles - salamanders (no promises, obviously. A single field guide typically takes me 2-3 years)

- i discovered a great hack about this! if you regularly visit your library and be super nice to your librarians, they are actually really happy to help you even with complicated requests also asking them if they could recomment any cool stuff can lead to really cool discoveries too!

- in general the northern areas in GoT were always shown bleak and boring and pale and ... well, green but like, the least green green they could have possible found. it looks so boring and depressing compared to everyhwere else. which, i get it, is their design. just saying they are wrong for this.
- Griin counts as fury, alien and monster! It's a chimeric alien, kinda: Griin's species is chimeric and therefore, if you would take a blood sample might stumble upon thousands of different DNA strands. Griin tho has only one singular strand. Also, Griin is absolutely bad news!

- it's a business card kinda thingy, of a person i that is some sort of assistant. i know how to contact them, i know how to reach them in weird and unusual ways too. but the card is kinda like a lucky charm to say that yes, in some weird case where i forget all this, they can still help me out
- in addition, i also have a picture in my wallet but i never look at it. its just to be there and remind me of someone i will never see again. having it with me is my way of saying that in my heart, i will forever cherish the moments spent, even after our final farewell
- the best art advice ive ever heard was "what you draw doesn't have to be realistic, it just has to be plausible" and its been getting me through so much ever since

View full threadi think my scifi setting as weird and chaotic it sometimes is, will make a lot more sense to people once released when they learn my approach to scifi is actually not through the idea of how technology could be, but instead born from views of linguistics, philsophy and pedagogy. and lil bit biology
- like, quite literally, pedagogical principles and ideas are overrepresented in my stories and it is my werid approach to scifi but it somehow works great :3 (for me at least) mostly because it is so intertwined with philosophy and the common philsophical approach (mostly pre-socratean ones)
