"social media doesn't make an impact on book sales" objectively false lmfao. maybe it doesn't always move the needle a huge amount but every time i feel bad about my sales i make a tiktok advertising it and get at least one or two. gradual but steady growth is arguably better than mega virality imo

not even talking about those rare cases like the "how to lose the time war" post that made the book a viral phenomenon in under an hour
