- THE SHINING (1977) - the 1st time you read this, it’s great, but over the years and many reads later you realize it’s not that great. Excellent writing, but weak plotting, limited spaces (which is the point) all build, no real ending and little real suspense. Danny knows too much and so do we.
- Today is the birthday of artist Lily Renée Phillips (May 12, 1921-Aug. 24, 2022). Active in the Golden Age, her family had fled Nazi-controlled Vienna. She drew stories for series such as Wings Comics & Planet Comics, & features like Senorita Rio & the Werewolf Hunter.
