- My Princeton Guide to Historical Research/Procrastination Validator is arriving tomorrow. Which is all fine and dandy, except that I have become the Avatar of Impatience and I want it right now, damn it!

- I suggested back in Oct. '22 that we use fire stations as regional recycling locations. I figured that if recycling was a greater task, people would be more careful about what they recycle. Anyway people hated it and I had to write an apology to the former Streets Director. Good luck, babe!

- Heads-up, STL! The City will be testing emergency weather sirens for up to four hours today. Deets below:
- And just like that, all discourse about Hesgeth's signal chats is completely gone from the public discourse. What else have we forgotten in the constant deluge?
- Don't tell my mother, but I'm reading Playboy — for the articles! No, really! High-key excited to dive into interviews including Ayn Rand, Jimmy Carter, Miles Davis, and Stephen Hawking.
- Moments like these make my perseverance waver. Especially with news like this, where we warned every American that this would happen.

This was immediately followed by another use of the rule, this time to pass a bill repealing the earned sick leave that was also approved by voters

However I’m going to tell you something: I’ve been working with blue dots in Nebraska for a long time and this was about the strategy of people on the ground. Long term, big vision strategy.
- I went Independent after Pelosi's stunt to seat Gerry Connolly. My own MO Dem senator killed a same-sex marriage bill & the MO Dem Party defended it. My list of grievances from 2025 alone is too long. I went from being an MDP caucus chair to leaving the party entirely. apnews.com/article/poll...
- Republican Rep. Moore (Utah?) was also asleep, as were others I believe. Rep. Moore is 44 years old.
- There are several St Louisans (myself included) who I believe would benefit greatly from or otherwise enjoy this. @hyperhouse.bsky.social, I can see you greatly contributing to Clio!

- This, this, a thousand times this. People don't want scripts on the doors. They don't want 90-page economic plans (though they certainly have a place and are truly important). They want to be met where they are and spoken to in their own way of speaking. @piperformissouri.bsky.social excels at this.

- This is exactly what people will cross-reference with Hogg's apparent retaliatory removal as Vice-Chair. Yes, it was a procedural issue which garnered a formal complaint well-before his comments or podcast. No, that won't matter to the stressed doomscrolling voter who equates Dems with uselessness.
- I have a close friend who has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She does home healthcare visits all over the STL Metro Area. 1. People don't have a clue how the medical field works or is structured whatsoever, and; 2. County-ites constantly reference RFK Jr. as a medical authority over her own.

The anti vaxx crowd are unable to face the fact that not vaccinating children has caused the first pediatric death in a decade. So they’re doing exactly what they do with Covid. Denying the cause of death.
- Someone described the Democratic Party as a firing squad, except everyone is standing in a circle. That's exactly how this procedural contest at the DNC looks to every voter — voters the Dems can't afford to lose — who isn't knee-deep in the bylaws of the DNC. This brouhaha will only harm the Dems.
- I'm sorry everyone else, but I have the most beautiful cat in St. Louis. Just look at her! Her only drawback is that she doesn't like to be picked up, and thus misses out on hugs and smell tours. #CatsofBluesky #Catsky

- Missouri is the perfect example: extremely populist, even progressive with regards to ballot initiatives, yet crimson red when it comes to that little (R) or (D) next to a candidate's name. But there is common ground between MO Rs and Ds: they team up to suppress Progressives — despite the appeal.
