We had dueling basketball today, and as has been so often the case this season that means we have good news and bad news.
The bad: #14 K-State loses its season finale, an 85-63 whipping by Iowa State at Hilton. 17 from Temira Pointdexter led the way, with Serena Sundell adding 11.
Mar 2, 2025 23:25The loss appears to cost K-State (25-6, 13-5) the double bye, as they finish in a 3-way tie for fourth place with West Virginia and Utah; the Mountaineers beat both. The would mean an 11am game next Thursday against the winner of Wednesday morning's 12/13 game.
The men, on the other hand, scored a 65-56 win over Colorado at Bramlage. David N'Guessan had 21 points, while Brendan Hausen and Dug McDaniel added 11 and 10 respectively.
K-State (14-15, 8-10) is at Cincinnati on Wednesday night.
