- A restaurant called “Don’t fill up on that” where all we serve are the free bread courses from other restaurants. Cheddar Bay biscuits, chips and salsa, brown bread from Outback, breadsticks from the Olive Garden, and the servers are always all “now don’t fill up on this” and we all laugh and laugh

- My husband has stenosis in his spine from wearing a belt with heavy things on it as a state trooper for 32 years. Gardening is tough with back issues. Life is tough with back pain. I feel for you. We struggle with heavy rains on a hill because of erosion. We put in garden beds. The middle flooded.

- We either have no rain or two to three inches. It’s seems that way. Our poor chipmunks (although once they start invading my garden, I may not feel so sorry for them) nest in tunnels in the ground. I am sure they were flooded.

- Thank you. We have to move a rosemary as it is in a wash where water poured off our driveway, but I just planted it, so not a problem. Rosemary likes dry, well drained soil.🤷🏻♀️ 😀My tomatoes and peppers didn’t seem to notice the 3 inches of rain yesterday.

- I really hate the idea of a "carpetbagger" in politics. Two reasons: 1) Nothing wrong with being a transplant! 2) The carpetbaggers were the good guys in the Reconstruction south.
- To southerners, broken by the war economically as many were poor farmers barely holding on to their land in families (not taking about plantation and slave owners) carpetbaggers represented the final nail in a coffin of family tradition and history. Carpetbaggers are still coming for farmland here.
