30-mumble cat "landlord", aromantic soul w/ brain full of books. Requires tea to function. Eternal fan of Roger Federer. Partly NSFW. She/her.

- Reposted by Itinerant BibliophileAn underrated fandom experience is having a friend you can privately complain about your least favorite ships or headcanons with so you can have your petty bitch time without ever insulting or offending anyone in the fandom, and I think more people need to learn to do this

- Reposted by Itinerant BibliophileWe've all been loving the conclave drama, but one of my favourite bits of Catholic Lore is how they ended up locking a load of Cardinals in a room for days until they've picked a Pope. People say it's to prevent external lobbying and to help them hear the holy spirit but that's not the whole story.

- Reposted by Itinerant BibliophileThey’re lashing out against Habeas and arresting Mayors because they know their position is weak and getting weaker, and they’re panicking. It’s scary to live through, but it’s less scary when you remember this isn’t coming from a position of strength, it’s sweaty desperation.

- Reposted by Itinerant BibliophileThe Constitution forbids bribery *3 separate times*. So important to the Founders they included two emoluments clauses, and made it the only named impeachable offense besides treason. The Constitution is clear on banning bribery. It's just that Congress and the courts decided to pretend otherwise.
- Goodbye lunch for a work colleague yesterday. 93% of the conversation in the area I was seated was about everyone’s kids. Co-workers: *talking about various shenanigans/trouble children under 7 get into* My aro/ace ass, internally: *Thanks for re-affirming my desire to never have kids, universe!*
