Okay I gotta know what exactly that thing is. We have a fat trending kitty too, but his sisters aren’t.
Bullshit.
I remember every time I was told that the Shock Doctrine was a silly book to read or discuss, bc that could never really happen.
While it was happening.
ICYMI
It’s also looks like he “fixed it” - by this afternoon it was happily chirping about how the white genocide bullshit whining was based on real things, all along.
Not that anyone will remember by tomorrow.
That is in fact what this administration has done.

Propaganda experts do, fortunately.
Take note, Pete Hegseth: this middle-aged mom is what a “warfighter” looks like.
But…stock market. Isn’t stock market the only thing that matters, now?
A new report finds the bottom 60% of U.S. households—or *two-thirds* of the population—can't afford a “minimal quality of life": housing, health care, and other necessities.
"Indicators like GDP and unemployment tell us the economy is thriving. But they don’t reflect the reality of most Americans."

I sure wish there had been any kind of interest in this sort of “patenting” in the 90s, in the US, but then again, where they’d have tossed me afterward wouldn’t have been better. She even laughed and bragged about it, in public. All I ever knew was that other adults would just giggle along.

Truth Matters on Substack
I have heard some pretty disgusting things in my life when it comes to exploitation and cruelty, but what Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) lays out here is nothing short an act of fiscal genocide. It appears to be ...
This is absolutely incredible -- Kristi Noem repeatedly refuses to acknowledge that Trump brandished an doctored image of Abrego Garcia's tattoos, prompting Eric Swalwell to have a staffer of his brandish an image of them right in her face.
Totally dystopian.

As long as it takes for Bondi to say it, I guess.
So the rest of all space and time.
I’m sure Americans know all about him, too. 😑
Just hit me that the importing of white folks from South Africa and exporting of brown people is actually, literally an attempt at a great replacement

They can then generate fat profit for prisons, once homelessness is fully criminalized and rapidly punishable.
It’s why the stock soars every day, since the Empire fell.
The king’s buddies must be thrilled.
I would like a word with my fellow wypipo who CONTINUE on about what this place ISN’T, just bc it’s never been that for THEM. About how “we” can’t let this HAPPEN, like it’s New, just bc that’s over now. It does explain why we can’t DO shit, we’re busy displaying how we’re shocked & confused, still.
JUST IN: Judge Xinis says the DOJ has failed to file a privilege log regarding invocation of the state secrets privilege in Kilmar Abrego Garcia's case.
She's giving them until 3pm or will construe it as "intentional refusal" to comply.

Marshals work for Bondi.
Bondi is the tiny king’s personal lawyer.
Cool. When is the NEXT “real deadline,” since they just get to ignore them all?
I guess it doesn’t matter.
Zero people have any idea what to do BC the kings’ branded ponies WILL NOT be made to comply with the law, so they don’t have to.
Nanner, I guess, since us plebs have ALSO forgotten, now.
NEW: Judge Xinis scolds the govt for missing yesterday's deadline to produce its privilege log in the Abrego Garcia case and orders it to comply by 3 p.m. ET. Otherwise she'll construe silence as "intentional refusal to comply with this Court's orders."
storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...NEW: Attorneys for Kilmar Abrego Garcia ask Judge Xinis to reject the govt's privilege assertions: "Even as the Government speaks freely about Abrego Garcia in public, in this litigation it insists on secrecy."

What’s the typical punishment for that?
If you’re doing Journalism, that is.
Here's your lead: "Trump has essentially halted refugee admissions for people of color, but dozens of white South Africans, upset that they are no longer the ruling minority, were welcomed with open arms on Monday."
Democrats need to make it clear *right now* that any countries caught bribing Trump will have no business with (and are subject to sanctions by) the next administration

Qatar calls reports of upcoming jet gift to Trump 'inaccurate'
ABC News reported Sunday that a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet would become available for the president.
“Next” being the operative term, of course.
“Any warm spot is fine.”
GOOD NEWS! Moderna’s combination COVID/influenza vaccine candidate mRNA-1083 has OUTPERFORMED the current standalone vaccines for BOTH viruses in a large (8000+) Phase III trial. A combination vaccine would make it easier for people to get vaccinated against COVID and influenza at the same time. 🧪🧵⬇️
How can Kennedy prevent it from being accessible by the public, from here?
“Now you wouldn’t want to JUDGE, now WOULD YOU, Mama??!”
A people that can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong. And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want.
“…in this chaotic administration, it seems worth asking who the “we” is in Miller’s statement. In the group chat about striking the Houthis…it was Miller who ultimately decided to launch a strike simply by announcing what he claimed were Trump’s wishes.”

NEW: Chaos at the ICE detention centre in New Jersey.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has been arrested by the DOJ after Members of Congress (apparently being shoved by agents) attempted to include him on a visit.
Baraka has opposed the facility, saying it opened without permits.

Honestly we need a six season HBO multi-character show about the French Resistance, following both resisters and collaborators, with each season one year from 1940 to 1945.
World on Fire tries, though it’s not JUST French stuff.

Trump says he wants to fight antisemitism—then nominates Ed Martin, a Nazi sympathizer’s fanboy who lied about it, to be U.S. Attorney for D.C.
Call your Senators and tell them: Enough lip service. If they really want to fight antisemitism, they need to reject Ed Martin.
@dougjones.bsky.socialMy senators are Nazi sympathizers.
Counter-point, the UK is too small and weak to endanger the global trade system either
My take on today’s UK-US trade deal. The UK is a small weak country. It does what small weak countries do, which is to escape the bully, to pay the Dane-geld.
Standing up for the multilateral rules-based trading system will have to be left for others.

Britain’s trade deal with Trump may not be good news for the world
[FREE TO READ] Starmer’s choice undermines multilateralism and poses risks to the UK
Which is also great to remember when these misleading headlines convince everyone that there’s any kind of “deal,” to begin with.
There isn’t.
Lutnick: "I want to make this clear. This was the president's deal. People think, 'Oh, that's not the way it works.' I have the best dealmaker to my left. If you don't think that we take advantage of him calling the PM & getting that deal done, you don't understand who's president. He's the closer."

Pretty much the only qualification…
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
It costs a lot less to house people.

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.
But…who is being PUNISHED?
This is America.
We MUST punish, after all.
Nothing else doesn’t work!
“.. details in the agreement were still changing ..”
@eamonjavers.bsky.socialWho could have ever imagined that these people who continually demonstrate that they don’t know how anything works can’t figure out how things work, on time?
The conflict has escalated since this was published, but unfortunately American leadership has not gotten any more competent.

Can Trump Handle the India-Pakistan Crisis?
The two countries barely avoided war under the last administration. This time is worse.
No.
The US Postal Service works under what is called a “universal service obligation” to provide postal service to all Americans, regardless of location, at affordable prices. It is the only carrier that works under this obligation, and privatization would end that.

As Trump Pushes Privatization of USPS, Amazon May Be Preparing to Take Over
A new CEO statement from Amazon suggests it could be angling to take over the US Postal Service.
For once i agree with the dictator. No one needs 7 day delivery. How about twice/week and save money.
My local USPS location offers me 0 days of delivery per week.
Currently.
Don’t care anymore - let em rot woth their votes
And the REST of us, here?
And our kids?
We are 1/2 a mile away from a state highway, in AR.
Our assigned hub exists only so the local golf club can be incorporated, & refuses to deliver to us, cannot operate their location competently, so a PO Box isn’t better. Rampant theft, carefree postmaster. PMB is our ONLY way to receive mail, now.
In case anyone can’t tell, this is NOT endorsement of this inane crap about privatization of the USPS as a whole. This issue we have is because the push toward privatization has clearly been underway as an actively pursued goal by the GOP assholes who run this place into the ground, for years now.

So many (apparently) new followers or non-followers responding w/ a version of "they won't comply."
I have a strong position on this: This is dangerous & undermines the rule of law. The *expectation* is that they will follow the ruling. Make them justify each and any failure or refusal to do so.
So WHEN they CONTINUE to not comply with courts, courts have no real enforcement mechanism in that situation, and the DOJ et al behaves openly as the pres’s personal lawyer, who can do what, to cause the blatant illegality to be accounted for, exactly?
Pattern recognition seems useful here.
Looks like these fools have already removed all the Scary Violent Criminals, already, and are now targeting line cooks and dishwashers.
