- Technically what it's doing is taking your input, call it "x," and applying a function to it, let's call it "f(x)" Which function is essentially a linear regression best-fit line on..... the entire corpus of human speech?
- I don’t think so. That’s not even what LLM is doing. It’s definitely not a linear regression. I haven’t gone full into the transformation theory etc.
- It was an AI product that was just given the question. The streamer didn’t linger on its reasoning, just marveled that it got it right, but it’s one that it could easily just grind through.
- It didn’t seem so easy to me. If the steps actually make sense. Translating coordinates. Examining potentials and boundary conditions. That’s definitely a step beyond LLM. I should put some old engineering problems to it. (Not sure if you have to pay for this).
- I’ve got a BA in English, which is probably a disaster for AI shit now, and a BS and MS in math, which have the protection that AI sucks butts at the most basic math, let alone anything advanced. But long term, I think the problem is education-as-credentialism.
