- If you had a multi-POV story that clearly hinted at characters meeting up somehow at the end, but when you get there the timelines don't match up and some characters are older than during their POV chapters, how would you feel about that?

- I think in some ways it could have gone further with its themes and some stuff is a bit muddled for me but nothing that would make the movie bad! [mild spoilers] The only thing I'm a bit unsure about is the choice to make the "evil guys" play irish music but maybe I'm missing some context 😬

- I think the problem often is that people can't tell the difference between "i dont like this" and "this is bad" 😬 just cause you don't like something in books doesn't mean it's objectively bad writing or a bad book

- This just shows that there isn't one monolithic reader a writer can appeal to. Some hate worldbuilding, others love it. I'll never try to edit my stories according to people who just skip ahead cause that's not who I am as a reader 😬 I'm writing for readers like me, not some complete strangers

- That's really interesting, I'll have to look into how that payment is determined (per day or per panel/hour). Definitely has to change the landscape a lot. We involve a lot of local writers in the panels who are also at the con to sell their books, I wonder if those are now also paid at french cons

- I've been using Kobo as an alternative to Kindle to read on my phone but their reading stats are so bad. I went from being 61% into a book to 24% to 23% and I always read at least 10 pages between each session .... How difficult can it be to know how far someone is in an ebook???
- Also I've always got 1 hour left to read in my book, which is completely wrong. I know that that stats is much harder to calculate but come on...

- As much as I love organising cons I could really do without the feeling afterwards where my brain overanalyses all the conversations I had with our guests to point out everytime I was awkward or weird (which my brain is probably the only one who actually remembers them)
- All this energy spent on stupid stuff when instead I'd very much like it if my brain could focus on the book in front of me so I could actually retain any of the words I'm reading ...
- Season 2 of my interactive audio drama is coming to an end soon which means you've got about a week to catch up and vote for what should happen in the finale 👀
- My body feels so broken after 2 days of con (+ set-up & tear down) BUT my colleagues are all on break this week & with the school holidays there's absolutely no one in the library which means I can listen to audiobooks on full blast all day !!!! I'm gonna get through so much!

- Maybe tomorrow I'll remember to take some pics of Luxcon but I still had a lot of fun!! Moderated a panel about podcasting, then was on one about horror & one about fandoms (and listen, tumblr is in my veins, of course we ended up talking about Supernatural).
- Also we tried something new this year where we put some random subjects in a hat & everyone had to draw one & ramble for 3 minutes and that was such a blast!! I ended up having to ramble about potatoes & came to the conclusion that the world would be a better place if we were all made of potato
