- Reposted by Amrei BahrYes, so true. Rather than supervising, some profs impose themselves as coauthors (but still contribute less than a normal supervisor would in their supervisory role and without being a coauthor).

- Reposted by Amrei BahrIn the German system, the professor is - supervisor - employer - examiner of "their" PhD students. Plus, they usually function as gatekeeper to the relevant scientific community. What can possibly go wrong? 🤔

- Reposted by Amrei BahrHoffnung ist zudem ein proaktives Gefühl. Hoffnung wohnt immer auch der Wille selbst etwas zu verändern inne. Wer selbst nicht aktiv sein oder werden will, der glaubt letztlich nur das es besser wird. Oder eben schlechter.

- Reposted by Amrei BahrDanke für den Text! - Ich Frage mich, wie das politische Argument "alternativlos" da mit rein spielt, das seit 2015 verstärkt das Regierungshandeln bestimmte. Es impliziert: Uns sind die Hände gebunden, es gibt keine Wahl, wir stehen mit dem Rücken zur Wand, es gibt keinen Gestaltungsspielraum.
