- I instinctively read this to the tune of the old Jesus Jones song & figured it was a clever call to conservatives for human rights…it’s early where I am! 😄
- “The Soviets succeeded in WW2 because the US lend-leased them to victory”

- The painting “Freedom of Speech“ is 1 of 4 by Rockwell, collectively called “The Four Freedoms.” Done during WWII, they were intended to encourage buying war bonds.

- WELKER: Your secretary of state says everyone who's here, citizens and non-citizens, deserve due process. Do you agree? TRUMP: I don't know. I'm not a lawyer. I don't know. WELKER: Don't you need to uphold the Constitution? TRUMP: I don't know

- Agree. Such obvious (and clumsy) prevarication – surely someone in Congress can draft articles of impeachment using this!

- My thoughts exactly!

- I am not religious, much less Catholic, yet I find that image unspeakably offensive. Were there a Supreme Being, a well-placed lightning bolt would not go amiss.
- To all those who said boycotting Target was a waste of time. It wasn't. Keep it up, y'all!
- Used to work the service desk at a Target, so I've been boycotting that place WAY longer than I thought I was.
- I feel ya. Worked for McDonald’s as a teenager and have been boycotting them ever since I quit in, oh, 1977. 🙂

- Ditto! 😆😆
- This may be the most obscene thing this man has ever done on social media It’s offensive at a level I’m struggling to articulate, but we can start with the fact that he’s again framing himself as God’s chosen representative on Earth when he is, remember, a _serial sexual predator_

- Here is the Disabled American Veterans response to “iGolf Shitler’s” push for Veterans Day be renamed to “Victory Day for World War I.” Make sure to read the whole thing….they actually make a very compelling argument. www.dav.org/learn-more/n...
- BRAVO!!! [one-woman standing ovation]
- It's like every website, app and piece of software has developed its own Clippy. Clippy is following me around every day from Google to Zoom to Adobe Acrobat, telling me it looks like I'm trying to exist and would I like help with that
- [Not loaded yet]
- On a slow day I deliberately would do something wrong, just to watch Clippy turn inside out and shake his little clip-finger at me. Innocent days…

- As many people have noticed – but let me point it for those who are having problems – all recipes on nigella.com come with a toggle to change metric to US measures and ingredients. PS Tinned tomatoes, anchovies, olives, capers and spaghetti are not, I believe – even in America – difficult to find
- Excellent, thank you - had no idea! 😄

- Morale is in the toilet. The Trump administration’s months-long hunt to root out the resistance is ramping up. Investigations are intensifying, with polygraph tests being used to create a climate of fear and intimidation.

- Unfortunately, yes. Florida schools will sign up for this, but very few signed the recent AAC&U letter titled “A Call for Constructive Engagement.” My undergraduate alma mater did not. 😒
- The article mentions Florida College System schools and states “An FCS system spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment on whether its colleges have also entered such agreements.” Here’s a list of those schools: www.fldoe.org/schools/high...

- Decades ago I ran a used bookstore. Once a customer came in with a book purchased a few days earlier, desperate because the last page stopped mid-sentence. We went through all the copies on the shelf and discovered *several* missing what turned out to be the very last page! Clearly a printing fail.
- Of course I pulled all the bad copies & thereafter checked all incoming trades - I saw several more defective copies. It was a bestseller, who knows how many bad copies were out there. 🤷🏻♀️

- How about instead of creating designer babies we invest in things like universal healthcare, universal childcare, mandatory parental leave, fair wages, affordable housing, education, you know, the things families need in order to have kids now but can’t pay for? I’m just spitballing here 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
- My god, it actually references “Gattaca.” Don’t forget the old sf novel “Hellstrom’s Hive” (breeding from human “stumps”) and “Brave New World” (“I’m glad I’m not an Epsilon [Alpha, Beta].”
