The highly-educated who live in cities- esp the Northeast and West Coast- have a completely different set of cultural markers than conservatives, Christians, and rural Americans. The "victim" narrative comes from a lack of visibility of these cultural markers in elite media, not political power.
Nobody is more ridiculed and oppressed than the white Christian conservative. A demographic that has been the dominant political force in this country the entire 47 years I’ve been alive.
